Once an initial assessment has been completed, therapy is one type of intervention that may be recommended by the
Speech-Language Pathologists. Individual therapy consists of a series of regular appointments to target specific speech and/or language goals determined by the S-LP. These goals are usually accomplished over time. Therapy can be done individually or in small groups. It may be conducted by either the Speech-Language Pathologist or a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) under the supervision of the S-LP. Family members participate in the therapy sessions and do home practice between the sessions.
